On Halloween, Cortland Avenue takes on a life of its own. Costumes fill the sidewalks, little ones make their way from door to door, and neighbors who may usually pass each other with a quick hello have a reason to stop and enjoy the evening together.
Halloween on Cortland has quickly become a beloved Bernal Heights tradition, bringing families and local businesses together for a safe and festive evening of trick-or-treating. This October 31, from 5–8 PM, the neighborhood will once again come together for an evening of costumes, candy, and Halloween fun.
For us, this is part of what we love about being a neighborhood restaurant. As a Chinese dumpling restaurant in San Francisco, we get to welcome people around our tables while taking part in the local traditions that bring Bernal Heights together. Halloween on Cortland is one of those occasions when we see familiar faces, meet new neighbors, and enjoy the energy of a community celebration right outside our doors.
And with an evening of trick-or-treating ahead, a warm meal makes a pretty good addition to the Halloween plans. Stop in before you set out, take a break along the way, or join us afterward when everyone is ready for something a little more substantial than candy. From our handmade dumplings to noodles and comforting Chinese dishes, there is plenty to share with little ghosts and grown-up ghouls alike.
If you’re looking for dumplings in San Francisco or a welcoming Bernal Heights restaurant during the festivities, we hope you’ll make United Dumplings one of your stops.
Bring your costumes, bring your appetite, and come enjoy Halloween on Cortland with us.
And if you’re planning a gathering of your own, let us help with the food. Our catering trays make it easy to serve a generous spread of dumplings and crowd-pleasing favorites, so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying the celebration with family and friends.
Happy Halloween from all of us at United Dumplings! 🎃🥟
